The “Cardinal Rafael Merry del Val” Conference Room is located on the 1st floor of the San Pedro pavilion of the Pontifical Spanish College.

It is possible to access the Conference Room from the outside path next to the pedestrian entrance.

    Conference Room Facilities

    Capacity: 298 m² with 210 seats in the stalls

    Entrances: three side entrances from the outside. All doors function also as security exits.

    Air conditioning: hot/cold air regulated by fan blades on the ceiling to allow uniform air diffusion throughout the room. The air is renewed and collected from the outside thanks to an Air Handling Unit (AHU) which controls the temperature, humidity.

    Fire Alarm and Detection System: optical ceiling-mounted detectors throughout the hall.
    6 powder fire extinguishers in the hallways, 1 CO2 extinguisher in the control room for electric panels, 3 emergency doorways with panic exit devices outside.

    Lighting: Audience and stage dimmable LED lights. Dimmable LED step lights along the corridors. Stage area: 5 Scena LED 200 projectors high-power White 3200 K. Emergency lighting and escape route signalling system.

    Chairs and armchairs: in the stalls, 220 Kenda office chairs in Cobalt Blue and Window Gray colors. In the stage area 3 Zwolle adjustable office armchairs in faux leather and wood, White/black colors.

    Stage: The modular stage allows extreme versatility: podium, deck, armchairs, etc.

    Translation booths: equipment available includes 03 simultaneous interpretation booths, with audio, video, and internet connections directly from the source and control room.

    Toilets: 4 women toilets, 3 men toilets, 1 disabled/accessible toilet. All toilets are in the rear of the hall.

    Accessibility: the hall, the stage, the bathrooms/toilets, all accesses, and emergency exits are specifically barrier-free.

    Miscellaneous: 7 USB 2.0 sockets + 7 USB 3.0 sockets along the side corridors and 14 power sockets along the same corridors. Direct audio and video shooting points via special connectors in the rear area of the stalls. Fiber optic internet access throughout the room.

      The use of all rooms and all the technical equipment supplied requires necessarily the presence during the entire duration of the event, of specialized technical staff appointed by the Pontifical Spanish College - Casa San Juan de Ávila.

      The presence of other staff in the control room is not allowed.
